Diagnosis Test narrow, elongate, uniserial, and rectilinear, chambers campanulate in form, widest at the shoulder near the base of the chamber, sharply curving inward to the suture below, upper part of chamber domed, sutures constricted; wall calcareous, finely perforate, hyaline, commonly with a row of small spines at the edge of the chamber shoulder; aperture terminal and ovate, bordered by a somewhat produced lip and with one margin indented as a simple tooth.
