Diagnosis Test large, up to 1.6 mm in breadth, trochospiral, with flat to excavated spiral side, umbilical side elevated and subconical with large and deep umbilicus containing pillars that partially fuse, giving the appearance of large umbilical perforations, chambers increasing slowly in height but more rapidly in thickness through the test, sutures somewhat obscure, slightly curved on the spiral side, commonly with bifurcating grooves, radial on the umbilical side, septa thick and inflated at the edge of the foramina, periphery rounded; wall calcareous, thick, finely perforate; aperture an elongate interiomarginal slit, extending from the periphery to the umbilicus.
