Taxonomic remark Vachard and Le Coze (2022): "Unlike Vachard (2016), we do not consider currently Parathuramminida Bykova in Bykova & Polenova, 1955 nom. translat. Mikhalevich, 1980 emend. Vachard, 2016, as a foraminiferal order, but as a heterogeneous group which is part of the Calcitarcha recently created by Versteegh et al. (2009). Among the Calcitarcha, the Irregularinoidea Gaillot & Vachard, 2007 are probably incertae sedis algae similar to the Thaumatoporellales De Castro, 1988 (Vachard & Clément 1994; Schlagintweit et al. 2013). For their part, Calcisphaeroidea Vachard, 2016 and Tuberitinoidea Gaillot & Vachard, 2007 share the same percentage of algal versus foraminiferal affinities. Only the Parathuramminoidea Fursenko in Rauzer-Chernousova & Fursenko, 1959 seem closer to the foraminifera; essentially due to the homeomorphy of the genus Parathurammina and Thurammina. Furthermore, the Parathuramminidae Bykova in Bykova & Polenova, 1955 were essentially Devonian taxa, only represented in the Mississippian with the Tournaisian Bisphaeridae Sabirov, 1987, Tournaisian–Visean Parathurammina and Suleimanovella Yuferev in Zadorozhnyi & Yuferev, 1984, and Visean–Serpukhovian Hemithurammina Mamet, 1973." [details]
