From the Variabilis, Pseudoradiosa and Aalensis zone (middle and late Toarcien), several foraminiferal associations are described, whose specific content in a great measure is new. Such stratigraphic levels rarely are dealt with in micropaleontological publications ; 36 species are described and abundantly pictured here, with one new species (Citharina charollensis) and as many as 18 others in open nomenclature ; among the 46 distinguishes forms, 15 have been gathered in two "spectre", according to the nomenclature which has been recently proposed by the senior author.
