Taxonomic remark It seems very probable that Temnotrema notium H. L. Clark (Op. cit. 1938) is only a young Temnopleurus Michaelseni. The character of the suranal plate lying in the middle of the periproct separates it from all other species of Temnotrema, the suranal plate of which is contiguous with genital 3. In a letter (18. 1. 39) Clark informs me that he is inclined to think, I am right in suggesting that T. notium is identical with Temnopleurus Michaelseni. [details]
