In spite of many publications about Echinoids from Miocene fields from the Rhone Basin, no one exhaustive study of systematic was made since the years 1910-1915. After a chronological account of events, all the Miocene Echinoids faunas from the Rhone Basin are reviewed. The validity of each species or subspecies is discussed and the revision of the systematic is based on the study of an important paleontological material: old collections and especially the types and figured specimens of the quasi totality of the studied species like several thousands of new specimens coming from all the paleogeographic sectors concerned. Up today, 38 species or subspecies of Cidaroids and Regular Echinoids and 112 species or subspecies of Irregular ones have been mentioned in the Miocene fields of the Rhone Basin. The systematic revision validates 24 species or subspecies of Cidaroids and Regularia and 51 of Irregularia, the others being either synonyms or morphotypes, or ontogenic stages. A new taxon
