Holotype. Auckland War Memorial Museum, Auckland, New Zealand (AIM MA) specimen AIM MA73563 (isolate nr. Ker907), a cleaned corona, spines and lantern, collected by J. David Aguirre and Libby Liggins on 31/10/2015 at a depth of 0 to 10 m. A tissue sample (tubefeet) has been deposited together with the holotype. Paratypes.
