Diagnosis: Antedonidae with centrodorsal conical, as wide across the base as high, or wider; with cirrus sockets shallow, almost flush with centrodorsal surface, not bowl-like, in 10 columns separated by interradial spaces. Basals sometimes visible interradially. Aboral surface of brachials flattened; synarthrial projections absent; proximal segments of proximal pinnules short or subtetragonal. [details] Taxonomic Remark: Messing & White (2001) erected this genus to accommodate species formerly included in Psathyrometra that were not transferred with that genus to family Zenometridae. They note that it is unclear whether the included taxa represent a monophyletic group. [details] | |||||||||||||
