Taxonomic remark Ho et al. (2010) proposed the genus Hastatus for a new species of xarifiid copepod, H. faviae, parasitic in the polyps of honeycomb corals (Scleractinia, Faviidae) from Taiwan. Unfortunately, the new generic name was already preoccupied by a name from Vosmaer (1880), who had described a genus Hastatus in the demospongian family Myxillidae. Thus, the generic name Hastatus Ho, Cheng & Dai, 2010 is a junior homonym of the name Hastatus Vosmaer, 1880. In accordance with Article 60 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, we propose a replacement name, Botegokika nom. nov. for Hastatus Ho, Cheng & Dai, 2010. [details]
