Although the species is not a member of Unicolax, it cannot be placed in Bomolochus either. The mistreatment was pointed out by Lin & Ho (2006: 354) and they correctly transferred it to Naricolax. Therefore, the valid name for this species is Naricolax chrysophryenus (Roubal, Armitage & Rohde, 1983). (pers. comm. J.S. Ho) [details]
