Irodes callionymi (Yamaguti, 1939) is redescribed based on specimens of both sexes recovered from the bucco-branchial cavity and the body surface of Synchiropus altivelis (Temminck & Schlegel, 1845) (Callionymidae) in Japan. The male, as well as copepodids V and IV are described for the ?rst time for the species. Key words. — Parasitic copepods, Cyclopoida, Taeniacanthidae, Actinopterygii, Callionymidae
