Three lernaeopodid copepod species (Salmincola edwardsii (Olsson, 1869); S. carpionis (Kroyer, 1837), and S. markewitschi M. Shed'ko et S. Shed'ko sp. n.) were found on chars of the genus Salvelinus (S. malma and S. leucomaenis) from different regions of the Russian Far East (the Kamchatka River basin, the Shantarskii and Kuril Islands, Sakhalin Island, Primorye). The new species is host specific to S. leucomaenis. Its attachment site is a buccal cavity. The species morphology, some aspects of its ecology and distribution are discussed.
