Acervoschwagerina endoi, a new subgenus and a new species of the fusulinid genus Paraschwagerina is described. It closely resembles Paraschwagerina in which the septa are intensely and regularly fluted, but is distinguished by having septa fluted in an irregular and complex manner. This new type of Foraminifera was found in limestone from Gombo, Nyukawa-mura, Ono-gun, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, and is referred to the Lower Permian.
