Collection site was sandy sediments among roots of the sea-grass Phyllospadix iwatensis on an intertidal rocky shore at Abashiri, Hokkaido, Japan, estimated as 44.0268° 144.2699°. Location for this as given by authors was 44.0833°, 144.4333° (44°05′N, 144°26′E), but note this geolocation is some 10 km offshore from Abashiri. [details]

Authors: "The type specimens have been deposited in the Hokkaido University Museum, Sapporo, catalogued under the acronym ZIHU, referring to the former Zoological Institute, Hokkaido University." Note that the acronym ICHUM is the correct acronym for the invertebrate collection Hokkaido University (fide Global Registry of Scientific Collections) as ZIHU is also the acronym of Zoological Institute, Hiroshima University. [details]
