Authority Lampert credits the authorship to a Fritz Müller, and in a manner suggesting the name was already published, but there is no evidence of this, and thus perhaps it was a manuscript name. [details]Authority Lampert (1883, p. 341) noted that he found the specimens labeled "Thalassema Exilii Fritz Müller" (as MS name) among the collections of Berlin Museum; as he failed to find any associated description of Müller's specimens, he first made the description for it. Although he adopted the MS name and ascribed its authorship to "Fritz Müller", the authorship of T. exilii should attribute Lampart own, not Fritz Müller, according to the Article 50.1 of the Code (ICZN 1999).
