Authority Although treated as an available name by Huber (2015), Glover & Taylor (2016) contends that the name Lucina hedleyi Pelseneer, 1911, was introduced with only an anatomical drawing (Pl 14, fig 6) with no description. In their opinion there is insufficient detail to identify a particular Cardiolucina species. Prashad (1932) undertook formal descriptions of the Siboga bivalves and introduced the name Dentilucina (Bellucina) hedleyi. However, the identical Cardium civica Yokoyama 1927 predates this. [details]
