Original description Test free, calcareous, unequally biconvex to planoconvex, in form of a broadly based, low cone with a marginate contour; wall rather thin, finely perforate, yellowish brown in color, shading from deepest color centrally to little color; dorsal surface in form of a symmetrical, flattened cone made up of four whorls of limbate chambers, five in a whorl, accentuated by a clear, hyaline area along proximal edge; sutures distinct, flush, curving, limbate; ventral surface with one whorl of five chambers slightly inflated; sutures overlapping slightly; last two formed chambers show more development of reentrants than present on sutures of earlier chambers, medially ends of chambers or umbilical flaps are overlapping; primary aperture along basal margin of last formed chamber in form of a slit with supplementary openings at sutures in form of reentrants.
