Diagnosis Feracrinus with relatively wide arm base (ratio of upper radial width to Br1 width 1.2 to 1.5). Br1 usually larger than Br2. Brachial pairs united by synostosis and brachials with two muscular articulations showing conspicuous constriction midway between their muscular articulations, stronger in small than in large specimens. Lateral flattened projection or thorns on proximal pinnulars and brachials. Rarely, series of three brachials united by synostoses beyond Br10. Beyond Br4, first brachial with two muscular articulations usually from Br7 to Br11, mostly Br7. Proximal part of genital pinnules with H-shaped additional plates. Tegmen moderately inflated in largest specimens, number of tegminal plates per interradius from 10 (small specimens) to more than 20, anal cone higher than oral cone. Orals with finger-like projections. Height of aboral cup up to 15.3 mm. Ratio of height to maximum diameter of aboral cup 1.1 to 1.5, ratio of cup height to radial height 1.1 to 1.6, ratio of upper radial ring diameter to upper basal ring diameter 1.37 to 1.42. Proximalmost stalk diameter up to 3.8 mm. Juvenile columnal symplexies with 7-8 crenular units of 1 short crenella. In larger specimens, columnal symplexies with 8 crenular units of 1-3 hieroglyph-like crenulae; distal syzygies with labyrinthic to irregular radial pattern.  [details]
