Biology Found among the gill lamellae of bivalve Acharax sp. in three possible combinations: only one female, one male and one female, or two males and two females, respectively, on each studied clam. Numerous copepods (3–100 specs. on each bivalve) distributed mainly on the gill lamellae were also found. In addition, an as yet undescribed species of Hesionidae was also found in association with N. sashai n. sp. [details]Depth range Deep-sea context derived from a specimen depth data search [details]
