Taxonomy Seven Indo-Pacific species (Orinella africana (Bartsch, 1915), Orinella alfredensis (Bartsch, 1915), >Orinella dunkeri (Dall & Bartsch, 1906), Orinella ebarana (Yokoyama, 1927), Orinella eburnea (A. Adams, 1863), Orinella japonica (Dall & Bartsch, 1906), Orinella pulchella (A. Adams, 1854)) were listed as names in current use in the OBIS Database of Indo-Pacific Marine Mollusks , and imported to WoRMS, but Orinella is treated as a nomen dubium by van Aartsen (1994). These species are here accepted either under the original combination with Pyramidella, or in Tiberia Jeffreys, 1884 when this is supported by a published reference. [details]
