Diagnosis: A species of Poecilometra with lateral profiles of IBr series almost parallel, those of arm bases slightly diverging; IBr series constricted with a sudden broadening at br1; profiles of ray bases diverging at an angle of about 45° in small individuals in which the IBr constriction has not developed; centrodorsal large and broad, to 5 mm across the base; cirri 25-30, of 15-18 cirrals; arms to 100 mm long.
