Checked: verified by a taxonomic editorNomenclature In the same article, Bayle established twice the name Cerithium proditum as a replacement name for two different nominal species. On page 246, he established C. proditum for Cerithium fusiforme G.B. Sowerby II, 1855, non Cerithium fusiforme Leymerie, 1844. And on page 249, he established C. proditum for Cerithium pyramidatum Hombron & Jacquinot, 1852, non Cerithium pyramidatum Deshayes, 1834. The two names are of course homonyms, but as they are both junior subjective synonyms of other nominal species, it does not really matter to give precedence to one over the other.
