Diagnosis Test discoidal, globular proloculus followed by undivided tubular and planispirally enrolled second chamber, evolute on one side and involute on the opposite; wall perforate on the evolute side, imperforate on the opposite side where earlier whorls are obscured by a covering of papillose lamellae, wall of aragonite by X-ray determination; aperture at the open end of the tubular chamber. Holocene; Pacific: off Japan; Guam; Hawaiian Islands; S. China Sea; Atlantic: English Channel; W. Atlantic: Florida; Mediterranean Sea.
