Editor's comment: Mörch explicitly states that a MS figure by Fabricius is a Hydroides, which in that case must have been H. norvegicus. However, Fabricius' (1780: 90 nr.374) texts explicitly mention a toothed dorsal keel, not Hydroides at all, but either Chitinopoma serrula (or Pomatoceros, Placostegus or Serpula) [details]
