Editor's comment Later Annenkova (1937) used the spelling Pista 'zachsi'. Leontovich and Jirkov (2011:410) correctly comment that strictly 'sachsi' cannot be corrected to 'zachsi', honoring the marine biologist I. G. Zachs, as Annenkova does not explain the derivation, either in 1925, or when she changes the spelling in 1937. However, they comment that Pista zachsi is nevertheless the spelling used in Russian polychaete literature. It seems reasonable to assume that she intentionally 'corrected' the spelling in the later work, an act possible in theory, although not allowed by the circumstances applying here under the current Code. So-called 'incorrect' transliterations from Russian family names are particularly problematic, as there may be several possible variant spellings in English [details]Status As either P sachsi or P zachsi this species is regarded as incertae sedis by Leontovich & Jirkov (2011:410) because type materials are lost and the descriptions are inadequate [details]
