Neotype ZMMU WS11255, geounit Kuril-Kamchatka Trench [details]
From editor or global species database
Neotype Neotype ZMMU WS11255, created by Salazar-Vallejo et al (2019). A neotype is always attached to the original name, not to later combinations. [details]

Spelling Petersen (2001) and Salazar-Vallejo et al (2019) both record that Levenstein (1971/1972) later 'corrected' the spelling to Fauveliopsis hartmanae. However, this was a silent correction in a non-taxonomic article, and the Code basis for the correction is unclear. Nevertheless, it has been adopted by subsequent workers. [details]
