Type locality Moreton Bay, "3 miles southwest of M3 red beacon", (27°17'S, 153°15'E; -27.283°, 153.250°), Queensland, Australia. Geolocation from W.3789 record at Australian Museum, but may be a generic location for Moreton Bay. [details]
Type material Holotype deposited at the Australian Museum, Sydney (AM W.3789). A specimen referred by Solís-Weiss et al. (2004: S10) as a 'syntype' (but being probably a paratype) is deposited at the Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris (MNHN POLY TYPE 827). [details]
