Checked: verified by a taxonomic editorClassification At the time of naming subgenus Palmyropsis (for what is now a chrysopetalid) the stem genus Palmyra was part of Aphroditidae (as it is now). In the same year Ehlers created Chrysopetalea (= Chrysopetalidae) to contain new genus Chrysopetalum, and tentatively included Palmyra, although a family-level name Palmyridae already existed as 'Palmyracea' under Aphroditidae. Similar confusion and linking of Palmyra with chrysopetalids continued for a long time. [details]
