Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Malmgren (1866: 390): "Lobus cephalicus expansus suborbiculatus labium superius magnum fingens, margine fiexuoso, infra Iaevis, supra prope marginem tentaculis numerosis, comam magnam componentibus obsitus. Oculi nulli. Branchiae nullae. Segmentum buccale subtus scuto magno subovato versus orem inflexo. Scuta ventralia alia nulla distincta. Fasciculi setarum capillarium a segmento secundo incipientes in segmentis c. 20 (19 — 22) obvii. Setae capillares in tuberculis minutis subconicis insidentes lineares apice acuminato paulo curvato, haud limbatae. Uncini a segmento tredecimo setigero usque ad segmentum anteanale obvii, minimi hamati, vertice unidentato, uniseriales difficillime visibiles." [details]
