Nomenclature H.L. Clark (1915) proposed a replacement name when he moved Ophioglypha brevispina to Ophiura due to homonymy with Ophiura brevispina Say, 1825. Since the species has been transferred to Ophiuroglypha, the original name could be available again, but this requires a published taxonomic act. [details]
