Medusa with small manubrium; no gastric peduncle; four to eight, sometimes up to 12 radial canals; gonads completely surrounding radial canals, separated from manubrium; tentacle bulbs with adaxial excretory papillae; no permanent rudimentary marginal, only transient ones; with closed statocysts; no ocelli and cirri. [details]
