Description: Thick, humped shell, up to 9 cm, with coarse, blunt teeth. Dorsal colour cream with brown patches (giving a map-like appearance). Thickened mushroom-coloured margins with smudged brown spots. Base creamy with orange teeth. Habitat: coral reefs in shallow and deeper water. Distribution: Indo-Pacific. (Richmond, 1997).
