Remark R. Norris (1987d: 256) expressed the probability that Beckerella helenae and B. Pectinata are
conspecific. Believing that the epithet was based on the personal name Helen, P. Silva (in litt.) erroneously
advised Akatsuka (1987) that the correct spelling is heleniae. In fact, the epithet commemorates Miss Helena
Forbes and thus its original spelling is correct. [details]
