Diagnosis: Comaster with cirri IX-XXVII, of 14-20 segments; distal cirrals with aboral pointed tubercle or transverse ridge; axils often giving rise to a brachitaxis and a free arm that alternate on successive axils; up to 135 arms; distalmost comb-bearing pi [details] Distribution: NW Shelf, West Australia to Scawfell Island, Queensland, Australia; Depth range : 0-91 m [details] Distribution: Also distributed in East indies, North of Australia, Philippines and South Pacific Islands (Clark & Rowe (1971)); Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995). Ecology: benthic, inshore, continental shelf, suspension feeder. General distribution: tropical, east Indo-west Pacific Ocean, depth range 0-91 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995).
