Notes  Description: Also distributed in East Indies, Philippine, China, south Japan and South Pacific Is. (Clark & Rowe, 1971); Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995).
Ecology: benthic, inshore. General distribution: tropical, Indo-west Pacific (also recorded from the Red Sea), depth range 0-40 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995). [details]

Remark: Syntypes (probable) in Zoologisches Museum für Hamburg, Hamburg (Germany) (1 specimen labelled 'Fidschi inseln'). Type locality: Palau and Fiji as 'Pelew Island and Viti Island' (Rowe & Gates, 1995). [details]
