Tail shallowly forked. Immature with rufous edging to feathers of back, eye streak rufous, upper breast streaked rufous; chin yellowish. Bare parts: iris brown; bill black with red base; feet and legs black. Habitat: estuaries, mudflats and sand dunes. Intra African migrant. Breeds Madagascar. <389><391> [details]
