Description Length: 84-97 cm. Plumage: general colour grey; top of head, occipital plumes and neck black; foreneck white; underparts whitish; under wings two tone with whitish linings and black flight feathers. Immature paler grey with foreneck with rust to buff and underparts dirty white. Bare parts: iris yellow (red early breeding season); lores yellow and green; bill black above, yellow to greenish below an at base; feet and legs black. Habitat: estuaries, lagoons, creeks and inland water bodies but not restricted to wet habitats. <388><391><393> [details]
