Taxonomic Remark: the specific name cornea/corneum is confused, having been used for a number of things. Linnaeus'taxon is an insect larva, Lamarck's Recent material under this name might belong to Ditrupa arietina, while his fossils might be named Ditrupa strangulata, a mix of taxa by itself.
