Remark: Only known from the holotype from the Red Sea. Odhner (1925) and Monod (1957), both cited in Serene 1984 <216> suggest to place it in synonymy with G. vermiculatus (Lamarck, 1818), a species described from the Antilles. Guinot (1967, 1971; cited in Serene 1984 <216>) suggests keeping the name meandrinus for the time being. [details]
