Notes  Description: Only known from Hawaii before the record by Cherbonnier (1979).
Distrubution: Madagascar, Tasman Sea, Great Barrier Reef, Cook Is., Hawaii and Easter Island; Hawaiian Is. (Clark & Rowe, 1971).
Ecology: under stones and in crevice, depth range 1-18 m. (Massin, 1996). [details]

Remark: In Subgenus: (Lessonothuria) Deichmann, 1958 in Cherbonnier (1988); places in Subgenus (Stauropoda) Rowe, 1969 in Clark & Rowe (1971).
