Description: Colonies are encrusting with or without short irregularly shaped branches. Radial corallites are mostly rasp-like except that they face in different directions. Colour: greenish- or pinkish-brown. Abundance: Very rare, except on some outer reefs. Restricted to intertidal reef flats exposed to extreme wave action where colonies may exceed 2 m in diameter (Veron, 1986). [details]
