Comparison Unique in the family in having stoloniferous budding [details]

Diagnosis Corallum colonial, forming small reptoid colonies by extratentacular stoloniferous budding; costae finely granular; Pourtalès plan present; pali absent; columella present and small; azooxanthellate. [details]

Remark This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Eleven species, only one of which is fossil. [details]
