Uriz (1988) recorded this species from the coasts of Namibia and in view of the great distance with Indonesia (the locality of the type) it is more likely that her specimens are assignable to the variety sigmodragma Lévi, 1963 reported from South Africa, than to the typical variety from the Aru islands.
