Nomenclature: The availability of this name can be disputed. It appears in a classification scheme p. 6 as "Partulida Schaufuss", with "Parthenia Adams" on the following indented line. Corgan (1973) correctly argues that this is not a "bibliographic reference" as required by ICZN art. 12.2.1, because there were several authors named Adams who had used the name Parthenia Lowe, 1841 in several works. There are no included species either, which would satisfy ICZN art. 12.2.5; the index of Schaufuss (1869) refers to Partulida as nº 131, but on page 42 the text goes directly from nº 130 Jole H. & A Adams to nº 133 Oscilla H. & A Adams. The name could become available from Iredale (1917) but then it is posterior to Parthenina Bucquoy, Dautzenberg & Dollfus, 1883 (subjective synonym) and to Spiralinella Chaster, 1901 (objective synonym).
