Editor's comment Manatus australis Retzius, 1794 is an obsolete name that has been variously applied to all three of the living species of manatees. However, as used by Diesing, 1839 for the host of Heterocheilus tunicatus and Amphistoma fabaceum, it refers to the Amazonian manatee, Trichechus inunguis (Natterer) (= "T. exunguis"). [details]
