Taxonomic Remark: It is unclear whether the small form is a separate species or arose in several different places from the large offshore form (which would be B. brydei if small form were coherent distinct species). Some workers presently recognize two species. [details]
Type locality: Thaybyoo Choung, Gulf of Martaban, between Sittang and Beeling Rivers, Burma [details]
