Distribution This species is known from southern regions of the temperate zone, subtropics and tropics, mostly in the
northern hemisphere. It inhabits sediments (0–100 cm deep) of gravel to fine sand in the intertidal or subtidal
zones, but it has also been collected at greater depths (20–40 m bsl). [details]
