Listed in ERMS V1 also under family Hesionidae, with same species [details] Date of publication: Although Hartman (Catalogue, 1959) gives the date of publication as 1951, subsequent authors used the publication date of 1950, as is printed in the book. However, Nomenclator Zoologicus also prints the date as 1951 (http://www.ubio.org/NZ/PDF/Vol6/pg0110.pdf). If the exact date becomes significant for seniority further investigation may be necessary. [details] Taxonomy: Licher (1994) suggested placing Glyphohesione and other pilargids back in the Hesionidae. Subsequent analysis in Dahlgren et al (2000) indicated pilargids are a separate clade.
