Par conséquent le nom correct de ce genre est Pherusa OKEN, 1807, auquel doit céder tant Stylaroides DELLE CHIAJE, 1830 (SHERBORN: 1841) que Trophonia, dont l'origine semble être un peu incertaine (voir SHERBORN)." [details]

Validity Pherusa (a potential junior homonym if Pherusa not available as published in 1807) was introduced as a name for an existing species, Amphitrite plumosa, and therefore is an available name from that date (see ICZN Art 12.2.5) and appears to be the senior homonym, thus valid. [details]
