Diagnosis "Small-sized specimens, with two red-brown transverse stripes across anterior segments of preserved specimens, both similar in width and length [...]. Anterior enlarged cirri long and slender, with ~48–50 articles; dorsal cirri longer alternating in length, long cirri with 40–42 articles and short cirri with 23–24 articles [...]. Scissiparity (schizogamy) with cephalous stolons with a pair of big red eyes." (Álvarez-Campos et al., 2018: 242). [details]

Editor's comment "Espècie dedicada a Esteban Bordallo Baltrons, padrastre de Sergi Taboada, estimat amic per a tots i persona extremadament generosa, qui va dedicar la seva vida a gaudir de la mar i de les seves criatures, i qui va morir el 2015" (Catalan translation of the etymology by Sergi Taboada, Esteban’s stepson and co-author of the species). The present editor had the chance to meet Esteban, the extraordinary person to whom the species is dedicated. This translation wishes to homage his memory and is especially dedicated to Esteban’s family and friends. [details]
